What Is The Inactivity Period Before Your Google Account Gets Terminated

Have you ever wondered if your Gmail or Google account ever expires :) How long do you think Google will keep your account even if you don’t care to log in? Don’t worry! You have a long grace period before Google will deactivate your account.

I checked directly from Google’s Program Policies. According to them, they may delete your account if you don’t sign in for last nine months. Here is what they have to say:

Account Inactivity

Google may terminate your account in accordance with the terms of service if you fail to log in to your account for a period of nine months.

But don’t neglect it too much. If you lose your account you can’t register with the same username. Google does this to protect the privacy of the previous owner of the account. Anyways if you don’t use your Google account for nine long months, then I don’t think you will need it anytime soon ;)
