FusedHosting Down! And They Took All of Us Down With Them!
Oh! Long time since I have posted & that’s not because I was busy. It’s because F…ing host FusedHosting came out to be a scammer. The old owners sold the hosting company without any prior notification & the new owners took the liberty of toying with all the customers. The server went down & stayed like that for several weeks. They didn’t notify before. You couldn’t contact them as they won’t reply to support mails. They even took out the CAPTCHA image so that you couldn’t send them mail from your client area. Some guys found out the phone number of the owner from some other place but nobody took it. Even their own site was down for several days!
Now when they put it back, we couldn’t login to the cPanel! And that means we couldn’t get the backup. I have sent more than several mails without any reply. Then somebody replied:
Anirban,
We apologize for not responding to your emails, this is first email we have seen from you in a long time. We have checked your site and it is working for us just fine. Please double check your domain name again, and also your temp url with us at http://96.31.78.90/~anirbanr
We would love for you to stick around, please let us know if there is anything else we can do.Also if you still require a backup, simply email us in return at support@fusedhosting.net
Thank You
They could see a site that was offline! They have a vision after all! And they apologized for the emails that they didn’t receive! How gentle!
The support ticket system was made available to the customers after some days. And when I asked for a backup, it got closed automatically without any reply. When I reopened, somebody replied that they were generating backup & would send me. No luck! I again mailed them few times. Then I got an email that my backup was ready in cPanel. But as I couldn’t login to cPanel, I couldn’t get it! By the way, several days had passed already to get that response!
I was trying to figure out how to get a backup & get free from these big time jokers. After several failed attempts, I got this to work. They have sifted the server to new i.p address. I couldn’t login to the cPanel of old ip address too. But then I again tried to login to the old one with port 2082, and entered my username in Password Reset field. I was able to login to the cPanel of the deserted server with the new password that was sent to my email. I took a backup, and sifted my site to DreamHost. It was a bit of struggle as DreamHost doesn’t support cPanel. But I have succeeded after all! And now quite relieved!
The moto: Always keep backup! And more importantly never ever go for FusedHosting!
All the existing customers like me have suffered. As I am writing now, I have read a few customers have been able to login to cPanel recently. But if you still can’t, use http://oldipnumber:2082 (not http://oldipnumber/cpanel). My site was hosted on 67.228.116.181 (so the url address was http://67.228.116.181:2082).
Good luck!
I have lost my rankings, traffic in these few weeks. But I am at least happy that I put it back with all the content.

We are truly sorry that you are so upset by the entire matter. We attempted to meet your specific concerns and you were obviously not satisfied. If there is something that we can do to help you, please respond to support@fusedhosting.net.
Back-ups were provided regardless of the other technical issues and will be again if necessary. We will continue to do our best to support your transition.
As stated before in response to your ticket:
We apologize for your downtime and our delay of response. This is not our typical response time and certainly not our typical quality of service. To give you a brief history, we were dealt a curve ball after the acquisition of Fused Hosting. We don’t know who yet, but someone compromised our server to the point it was crashing constantly. Data could not be pulled from the server without going down every 30 minutes. Obviously we needed to move servers and and data. Not being able to pull the data made things difficult for our team. We had everyone working around the clock once we made the decision to bail on that server and start from scratch. Unfortunately, this delayed our customer service response time and our ability to give “reasonable,” confident answers.
Without the billing/support system working predictably, it was difficult to email everyone explaining what was happening with your service. We did however manage to get some emails out with the billing system before it finally crashed.
Please rest assure that we have completely bailed on the old compromised server and we are rolling on brand new servers that are pretty amazing machines. Everyones account is active, working and we are taking tickets. It has taken us time to catch back up to current as you can see, but Fused is back and better than ever. We have a larger support staff, with a new security specialist and a new billing department. We will do all that we can to support your to our standards and your expectations.
Please contact us if you require any additional information.
Guys, I have allowed this comment as everybody should have his own say. I didn’t have any better experience after receiving the reply. Think, you would get such a big reply with nothing for your original requirement!
I didn’t publish the whole replies of the few I have got. They seem to do the job for me! At least they are doing something.
By the way, they have done one thing quite fast. I have requested to cancel my package. They have done it very promptly within a few hours!
I didn’t get any refund. I lost some money. But frankly, I didn’t expect to get money from them.
They are just a hoax, not an honest service that you can rely on.
Let’s try once more. We had extraordinary technical issues that were not our fault. We took every possible step to correct them. You have requested backups to your site. We provided them three times. Your new host was not able to help you transfer your site. It did not transfer successfully.
You never requested a change in payment status. We offered a no charge extension of your hosting term as an accommodation for less than one day downtime and your inconvenience. We agreed that the situation was not to our standards.
You are still not happy. You are probably engaged in libel. What exactly would you like?
Actually I have mentioned about payment refund few times. If anybody have problem, just click on the images on the post & you will clearly see.
The support ticket image was the last one that I sent. As I have told, they cancelled my account quite promptly within few hours! But they didn’t reply with anything at the first place. It’s only when I posted here & they noticed, they put the support ticket there after almost 24 hours. By the way, I use IST timezone in my blog.
About less than one day downtime, check this thread (contains 11 pages of replies) in NamePros forum, you will know who is speaking the truth about downtime. http://www.namepros.com/web-hosting-discussion/606892-fusedhosting-net-down-please-help.html
And if my transfer was not successful, I don’t know how did you put a comment here! The site should have broken up then!
Do whatever you want to do in your own site! Stop fooling around elsewhere. Sadly, you are making yourself more exposed.
hahah Tom can go f..k himself, what hopeless and insolent responses. He is basically admitting they are technically inept and have no idea what the problem is, or how to rectify it. What’s worse it, they aren’t even forthcoming with info and seem to be blaming everyone else.
Fusedhosting.net are totally incompetent and are borderline fraudulent. The whole situation is a real f..kup, i’ve never experienced anything this bad in 12 years of hosting websites. Good luck to them and their acquisition, I’ve already moved hosts and if they attempt to charge me I’ll be charging back like a mo..erf..ker.
I had to edit certain words, sorry for that
But I certainly couldn’t agree more with your comment
i think fusedhosting.net is scam.., i can’t login after pay they package.
now what can i do
Do you still have doubt whether they are scam or not! Just try to contact them. You will be teased to the point of madness!
Search a bit through net. You will have enough examples of their mockery.
